Our mission is to provide individualized and age appropriate support to learn the most effective self-defense techniques with heavy emphasis on positional strategy through Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

Our adult classes start with our fundamentals that focus on teaching new students the building blocks and techniques of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

Increase coordination, flexibility, and strength while learning jiu-jitsu fundamentals that teach women to defend against any attacker.

Born a Connecticut native, Rachel started her martial arts life around the age of 25 through Mixed Martial Arts (MMA). It was through her MMA training at American Top Team CT, that she was introduced to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu by her professor Luigi Mondelli.
With 3 months into training, she began competing and gathered experience through many tournaments. In 2009, Rachel became an instructor for American Top Team CT Future Champions and continued as a competitive athlete. During her stay in NY, Rachel then began her training under the guidance of Kore BJJ/American Top Team CT affiliate, Steve Olivier at Apocalypse BJJ. As Rachel continued her travels, she trained under the guidance of Professor Brian Marvin of Renzo Gracie Houston and now resides in NC where she continues to share her passion of BJJ as student under Jason Abbott of Renzo Gracie Special Operations Fort Bragg.
Being a competitive athlete (and currently ranked as a brown belt) in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ), has enabled her to be living a life dedicated to health and fitness. Inspired by the improvements of her own health through diet and lifestyle choices, she became eager to learn more about the amazing healing capabilities of the human body through nutrition, and became a certified health coach through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN), and through her training, she is now able to combine both passions of health and her love for the martial arts to offer a complete program of health & fitness!
